Welcome to Think Write, a site for your creative writing.

If you are new, you might like to check out these challenges to get an idea of how it works.

Another A Challenge

1 vote

A while back we had a number of Alphabetical Challenges; I think the first one was started by Spots.

To restart these Challenges, this one is to write a piece of 100 words with as many words starting with the letter A as you can manage.

The winner will be the story with most letter A words, but it must make sense and cannot simply be a random list of A words.

The deadline will be 15th February. Shall we make it a Torch Bearer Challenge again?

Sounds great Saxon.  I'm in.  I'll get something in this week.
Doug! Welcome back!
I got this figured out now.

An account of adventuresome Adam ant and Anne ant.

An adventuresome ant, Adam, advanced and asked “Are all ants as adventuresome as Adam?”
Another, Anne, answered “Adam, any adventuresome ants all are away as aardvarks ate adventuresome ants.”
As Anne acquired another acorn, Adam asked “Anne, all adventuresome ants are away?”
“Affirmative, Adam.” Anne answered.
Adam, always asking, again asked about adventuresome ants. Anne asserted all adventuresome ants are acquired as aardvark aliment. Analytical Adam aspired to ascertain as aardvarks ate all adventuresome ants. Abruptly, Adam ascended as an aardvark advanced to acquire aliment.
The aardvark acquired Adam as aliment.

Of the 100 words, only 3 are not 'A' words.

The best of the three very good offerings. Over to you to set a new alphabet challenge.
Sorry about the repitition on it. I'm new to this. I think I'd rather let someone else set the new alphabet challenge.
how do we write things and post them? Im a new meber lol
Alice, usually you click on the respond word in blue below the challenge. this opens a text box you can write in. otherwise you can write it on your PC then copy and past (but I always find there is a secondary text box that I have to use). If I do this, I always copy, not cut, because if you lose it in the system, you can always go back and try again. Good luck and enjoy TW
Hey Alice! Welcome to ThinkWrite.
Saxon already explained everything, I just wanted to add that if you still need any help, feel free to ask in the comments or send me a private message (http://www.thinkwrites.com/user/Spots).

Another article of an articulate nature appears on the website at noon. Alice, again aghast at the astounding power of the author’s words, aches for an answer as to who—at such an amorous time—can arrive at a conclusion that doesn’t answer to an aficionado’s attitude. And yet, as is to be anticipated, men are always attempting to adhere to their own assertions. They are adverse to anybody of another, more abstract attitude than theirs. At last, Alice ascertains the affirmation she needs to accuse a certain Adam Alfonse of authoring the audacious attempt at an anarchistic allegory on antipathy.

In other words, some dude wrote an article about hate on Valentine's day.

An altogether awesome answer!
Love it!  Brilliant!
Love it! Welcome to ThinkWrite, Pantalimon.
Thank you, all. Might I ask for some more challenges to be posted on the main board? I'm very interested in submitting things to this website but it seems that the challenges have mostly ended, and I'd be highly grateful to anybody that might be able to help me out with this dilemma.
You're welcome to reply to any challenge on ThinkWrite, even if it already ended. That is not to say I don't support your request for more challenges. I might post one, I'm just reluctant to do so at the moment, because I don't think I have enough time to look at the replies.

Another afternoon of arranging an awesome array of azaleas. Alice attempt to annoy Andrew by accusing him of arrinving after Amy. Amy is always arriving amicably after appointe arrival times. Andrew actually allows Amy's antis to annoy him. Amy aggravates Andew all the more by asking his  assistance in arranging amaryllis for another angry Aunt of hers. All of Amy's Aunts are always angry. Andrew answers angrily that all the annoying antics must stop. I stop arranging the array of azaleaa's to assist with the arrangement of the amaryllis for Amy's angry Aunt. In all the afternoon we arranged all the azalea's and amaryllis arrangements ordered.
