Unfortunately I have fallen ill and and can't use the computer for two weeks. I have COPD and RA and a new problem that is causing spasticity and difficulty using my arms. Forgive me since I can't use the computer. If I have challenges, someone (giraffe or doug) please take over for me. Thanks, Emy.

Doug, I've been digging around here a little and how fascinating that you all were recently writing about mortality, at Giraffe's suggestion. I really liked his take on the "im." We had been spending a lot of time together lately, and I now believe he knew how close he was, but never would have wanted tearful good-byes, so he kept it to himself, but was processing through in his own creative way. Thanks to all of you for being here with him these last months. This cyber-gathering of the minds was more poignant than any of you knew at the time(except maybe giraffe and emy0)

To those that have been in contact with Emy, I thank you. I am Emy's sister, Lauretta. It is with a very heavy heart that I write on this board. My precious sister Emy has been taken from us and is in a safe resting place, free from all her pain and lonliness.

I thank you all for being a part of her very small world. She is at peace and I know she will be checking for responses....she loved writing and she loved people.

I am so sorry. We will miss her. In this little place of sharing, her loving kindness was very real to us. I am sure she is free of pain now, and her world is no longer so limited. Thank you for letting us know.

Loretta, I am so sorry. My dad, known here as Giraffe, also passed away recently. I'm glad to see that they enjoyed their time writing creatively on here. May Emy's memory be a blessing to you and your family. Emmi

Emy was such a beautiful person. She was the primary contributor on the other site I run, and it is so empty there now without her. She had a talent, a way with words, and a light that shone through everything she said. Condolences to you and your family, Lauretta, Emy will be greatly missed.
