Poem with a number in front of each line.

                       Example:

   1 horse stomping

       2 monkeys swinging

            3 phones ringing

                   4 dancers twirling

                       5 docters hurling

Christmas night in the museum basement  (for doug)

One night Saint Nick found

two mummies all unwound

three floors beneath the ground.

Four red eyes followed him around,

five bony fingers made a clicking sound.

One ho-ho-ho with a twinkling eye,

two stockings hung on sarcophogi

three rats in each just for snacks

four  cushions for their clicking backs

five secs later and it's bye-bye !

Bravo!  I  loved it!  Thank you for that extra special poem just for me. :)
Most welcome, my pleasure -- I'm tired of the Christmas excess too.  Maybe you could improve on that last line .  .  I couldn't come up with a good one.

One diamond ring,

two people sing.

Three women crying,

four men sighing.

Five girls whispering,

six boys worrying.

Seven fritters frying, and

eight cookies crumbling.

One wedding:

two happy,

four sad;

ten handfuls of rice,

eight relatives, all nice.

One send-off,

one honeymoon;

eternity in love.

Ta da! *bows*

It's not much, but hey, it's a wedding poem.

1 day I'll open up

2 Show you what's inside.

3 times you saw the real me

4 I could run and hide

5 tries it took to tear down my wall...

6-teen was the age I would find love and fall....

1 little girl

2 ear rings, pearl

3 siblings who

4 get the things mothers do

5 places I could set the display

6 things I think that she might say

7 places she could flaunt it

8 seconds until she noticed she got what wanted

9 is cloud that she went to lay

10 years have passed, she still wears them today

one garden looking pretty

two people sunbathing at the sea

three people climbing trees

four horses playing hide and seek

five flowers, interesting and beautiful to see

six bugs, two bumble bees

seven boys running, they were so keen

eight girls shouting 'party! party!'

nine children walking on the street

ten clowns dancing weirdly
