Robin Vs. Marian

I'm sure you've all heard of Robin Hood and Maid Marian. What I want is a story, tragic or humorous about an encounter between the two. It needs to be equal to or under 75 words.

75 words.  I like these short ones.

THE HARD EARNED LESSON

Robin and Little John were napping by the stream when he saw Maid Marion approach on her finest steed.  He stumbled over Little John and ran in her direction.  Robin's heart fluttered.  20 feet away, the guards dropped their nets from the trees.  It was a trap.

As they shackled and led him off, Marion screamed  "I told you, Robin!  Always lift the lid on the chamber pot.  All the way!"

Good job of staying within the limit and still conveying a sense of action and history. I had to read it twice, but once I understood what was going on I laughed. Great job!

The Green Wood

Gentle Marion, May Queen of the mother goddess, and Robin the Green Man, under the eyes of Hern the Hunter, perform the ancient rites of May in the Sacred Grove of the Great Wood. The May pole, the Christian adoption of Thor’s Oak; a child’s game on the old fertility rite of spring. Priestess Marion and King Robin, the huntress and the stag, purifying through union, bring back life to the world.

the references to pagan aspects of medieval culture is well done. The idea is a good one although I feel that you sacrifice plot for description. When a story is this short it should have movement of some kind. Other than that it was well done

Its a love story,

waiting to be told,

robin hood and maid marion of old,

"robin oh robin where are my diamonds and pearls,

you rob from the rich to give to the poor ,

but you promised me them and much more!",

a repy from robin was heard,

"i never promised you diamonds
i never promised you pearls,

i gave you your gift ,

you are a  woman now,
instead of a girl.

responding to this challenge with a poem was unexpected, but it was a pleasant surprise. I thought that you did a good job with this interaction.

In the Night

Ah, to look upon sweet Robin's sleeping face and  brush a lock of flaxen hair from his gentle brow and with sigh to think that all the gold and shining gems so deftly stolen from wealthy men could not compare in worth with that so freely given tonight, to think that I'll ever and always be known as Marion, but never again as Maid.

This was a very tasteful and well done way of alluding to, rather than saying what happened. I appreciate that you strayed away from the vulgar. It was very poetic. Excellent job!
